Every public body in Scotland – including councils, the NHS, education authority’s, police and fire service – will have new duties under the Equality Act. This includes working to set out equality outcomes. These equality outcomes will help public bodies focus on what needs to be done and how they will do it. Independent Living in Scotland (ILiS) is organising a series of seminars to explain exactly what Equality Outcome Setting (EOS) is and how disabled people and organisations can get involved.
There will be presentations from the Equality and Human Rights Commission, Disabled People’s Organisations and Public Bodies. There will also be the chance to take part in workshops giving you the chance to discuss the opportunities and challenges around EOS for disabled people. Tell us if you would like to attend and if you have any access requirements: Email: contact@ilis.co.uk, Phone: 0141 228 5921
